This young man joined all of the other men and women that are protecting and conserving our freedom by unselfishly serving in the armed forces. He began his basic training in the Army at
Fort Benning, Georgia on August 19 (click on Fort Benning for Web Site). His ultimate goal is the Special Forces. He has a long, hard road ahead of him, but his parents prepared him well for this day. He, and they, would appreciate your prayers for him. Sometimes we get so involved in complaining about trivia such as high gasoline prices that we forget that our freedom and prosperity allows us to have an automobile in the first place. Thankfully, there are still many young men and women that are willing to give of themselves to protect and defend us and our right to complain. The next time you see our Flag, put his face on it for a moment.
