The Cycle of Life

Most of the time we don't think much about it. Only when someone is born or someone dies do we ponder the reality of Life's Cycle. As Annie nurtures the newest member of our family we wonder what little Lily will face during her visit on this earth. Last June her great-grandfather Lacey ended his visit here to receive his reward, and as I write and you read, Lily Ann's great-great-grandmother Beaverson is fading into the shadows of this world getting ready for the next. Meanwhile runners continue to run until their legs give out, roofers continue to roof until they have completed the last one, preachers continue to preach until their voices fade, and postmen continue to deliver the mail until the last letter is mailed. Our time here on this earth is important, but not for the things we spend most of our time chasing after. The primary purpose for our days here is to prepare for the Next. As we search for this purpose during our Cycle, we may find that the Secret is in the Search. Meanwhile, we continue to run, roof, preach, and deliver mail, giving each task our very best effort
